Welcome to ClayHub. By accessing or using our website, tools, calculators, and integration with ClayPod, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Use of Services

ClayHub is a free and open-source suite of digital tools for ceramicists. You agree to use the calculators, archive, and discussion forums in good faith, respecting other community members and avoiding any actions that may harm the website's infrastructure or availability.

2. User Accounts and Security

To save your formulas, kiln firing logs, or interact in the community, you must register and create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and notifying the administrator immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Content Ownership

Your glaze recipes, firing logs, and studio notes belong entirely to you. By publishing recipes to the public portfolio or participating in the discussion forums, you grant ClayHub a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and share this content for community purposes.

4. Hardware Integration (ClayPod)

ClayPod integration allows real-time kiln temperature data collection. While we strive to offer safe and stable data transmission, the ClayPod hardware is a do-it-yourself (DIY) device. ClayHub is not responsible for hardware failures, firing logs losses, broken pottery, or studio accidents resulting from the use of ClayPod. We advise always supervising firings in person.

5. Limitation of Liability

Glaze calculation tools and chemical equivalences in the archive are provided for informative and educational purposes. Although we verify the mathematical algorithms (Seger Formula / UMF), we advise always conducting laboratory tests on small test tiles before applying any glaze recipe at scale.

6. Modifications to Terms

ClayHub reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The date of the latest modification will always be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
