Shared Knowledge & Free Forever
We believe ceramic recipes and wisdom shouldn't be locked away. Clay arts grow when we share and discover together. That's why our core tools and materials library are 100% free.
A project made with love. Anyone can contribute, share their workshop notes, or add new materials to our collective library.

See how it worksClayHub + ClayPod
Having a great recipe is just the start. To make your pieces turn out perfect, you need the kiln's temperature to follow the exact path you planned.
memory Smart Brain
ClayPod is a small smart open-source device installed on your kiln. It reads temperature sensors and controls the heat precisely, so you don't have to watch the kiln constantly.
cloud_sync Synced to the Studio
The device connects to your workshop network and sends data to ClayHub. Select your temperature path on your screen and watch the heat rise in real time from your phone or computer.
analytics Historical Temperature Record
Every firing is logged in your history. Compare the actual heat rise against what you programmed, track energy usage, and link kiln notes directly to your recipes.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
ClayHub is built upon decades of shared knowledge. We want to extend our deepest gratitude and credit to the platforms and creators that inspired this project.
DigitalFire
The definitive reference for ceramic chemistry, materials, and troubleshooting established by Tony Hansen. Their expansive material database is the gold standard.
Glazy.org
Derek Au's groundbreaking open-source ceramics database. Glazy pioneered the modern era of sharing recipes globally, and their UMF graphing UI is a massive inspiration.
The Open Calculators
To the countless ceramic engineers who built tools like Insight, GlazeChem, and open spreadsheet calculators. Your work standardized the math we rely on today.
