Notes & Instructions

Glaze Code: CELECG. Classification: Spodumene-Talc based crystalline glaze. Maturing Range: Cone 9-10. Visual Characteristics: Colorless transparent ground with pale aquamarine cigar-shaped crystals. Crystal Development: High density, growth rate of 1-1.5 cm/hour. Durability: Minimal crazing on vessels; elevated crazing on tiles. Compatibility: Highly receptive to colorants (e.g., Manganese enhances red tones; Copper carbonate at 4% produces cyan crystals). Firing Protocol: Fire to Cone 10. Implement a controlled cooling schedule: soak for one hour at 300°C below peak, increase to 200°C below peak, then utilize a two-hour ramp down to 300°C below peak.
