Data Use & Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
At ClayHub, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect basic information when you create an account, such as your email address and username. Additionally, we store the data you voluntarily create on the platform: recipes, glaze tests, firing logs, and your studio profile info (bio, location, and social links).
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to provide the core services of ClayHub:
- Save and organize your recipes in your private Digital Studio.
- Sync real-time temperature logs sent via your ClayPod hardware.
- Display your public portfolio and community contributions if you choose to publish them.
- Allow you to comment and discuss in the community forums.
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your private information (unshared recipes, private firing logs, API keys) remains strictly confidential. Only content that you explicitly mark as "Public" (published recipes, forum posts, or profile bio) will be visible to other members of the ecosystem.
4. Data Storage & Security
All information is stored in encrypted databases managed via Supabase. We enforce Row Level Security (RLS) policies in the database to guarantee that only you can edit or delete your private studio information.
5. User Rights (Access, Correction, & Deletion)
You have full rights to access, correct, or permanently delete your data at any time. You can edit your profile, delete saved recipes, or deactivate your account from the settings panel. If you wish to permanently delete all temperature logs, you can do so directly or contact support.
6. Support Contact
If you have any questions about how we manage your kiln firing logs or recipes, or wish to exercise your privacy rights, please do not hesitate to use the contact form located at the bottom of the landing page.
