Recipe GR6-C is a cone 6 glossy white base glaze formulated with Ravenscrag Slip. It provides a vibrant surface with variegation and edge-breaking properties on stoneware clay bodies. Application guidelines: Adjust zircopax content to achieve desired opacity; a blend of 3% tin oxide and 5% zircopax is recommended to mitigate crawling. This glaze is compatible with commercial ceramic stains for pastel coloration. It is zinc-free with low MgO content, making it suitable for chrome-tin stain systems. For applications requiring higher homogeneity or alternative opacity, G2926B may be used as a substitute base. Refer to GR6-A documentation for standard mixing procedures.
