Notes & Instructions

Glaze G2240 is formulated for cone 10 reduction firing, producing a matte, oatmeal-toned finish. Visual characteristics, particularly surface coloration, are thickness-dependent; thinner applications over high-iron clay bodies will appear darker. While similar compositions frequently exhibit micro-dimpling or metal marking, this specific formulation demonstrates improved surface stability. For textural modification, ironstone concretions may be added; recommended inclusion rates range from 0.1% to 0.5% utilizing a graded particle size distribution (50% 70-100 mesh, 35% 50-70 mesh, 15% 40-50 mesh).
