Notes & Instructions

Glaze G1214W is a cone 6 clear base developed from average limit formulas. It serves as a derivative of the G1214M base and precedes the G2926B formulation. The glaze acts as a versatile base for various colorant additions, including metallic oxides. When utilizing iron oxides, note that color response varies by oxidation state and particle size; specifically, yellow iron oxide may demonstrate poor solubility or reactivity compared to black or red iron oxide in this matrix. For optimal results, sieve the mixture to 100 mesh prior to application. This glaze has been historically utilized for various pastel and primary colorants; however, it has been superseded by more stable iterations.
