Description

Berthierite is an iron antimony sulfide mineral defined by the chemical composition FeSb2S4. Physically, the mineral is characterized by a distinct metallic luster and a steel-grey coloration, though its surface often displays an iridescent tarnish. Due to its visual properties, berthierite is frequently confused with stibnite, an antimony trisulfide mineral that lacks the iron component found in berthierite.
